Headlight connector wire colors for a 2012 Nissan Sentra.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2012 Nissan Sentra, 2.0 engine.  The original headlight socket burnt
out so I cut the wires (blue, black and red).  I bought a new headlight
connector (BWD PT5604) with wire colors blue, black and black with red
tracer.  I spliced blue to blue, black to black and red to the black with a red
tracer.  Here's my problem, when the lights are on, one headlight is fine but
the other (passenger side) is the high beam. Which wire did I splice wrong?

First check the fuses, there are 2 of them if OK check bulb numbers, the wiring should work the way you have it but if all else fails swap red to blue and see what happens. I hope this helps, take care. I'd be interested to know how this comes out if you could repost me later thanks
