VW Jetta car

So I have a 2012 VW jetta 2.0 I was on the
interstate and when I accelerated the engine started
making a loud roaring sound like a lawn mower it's
never did this before and it came out of no where
I've been driving the car all day

Sound like maybe something in the exhaust such as the manifold, muffler or pipe broke. Get it to a shop to have it checked.
