Asked by GuruV6VG4 Sep 12, 2018 at 10:30 AM about the 2005 Dodge Dakota SLT Club Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I was drive down the road everything's was
normal then my granny went out I rolled into a
parking spot and as soon as I stopped coolant
started to dump from the engine bay I can't tell
where its coming from atm but the coolant that
leaked out had transmission fluid in it as well as in
the over flow tank. I know my transmission lines
run thur the radiator can someone tell me along
the line of what to look for and or how to fix it.
Please and thank you.

Sounds like a bad radiator/trans cooler, pressure test to check for sure. You're going to have to flush both engine and transmission.
