Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I got the remote car starter installed in Dodge Caravan 2006 this week. And today I noticed the Vehicle Theft Alarm light (red light) in the instrumental panel. The vehicle is starting and functioning properly at the moment, but I would like to know the implications/potential problems posed by this and recommended solutions. Thanks for your help!

If you live where it is cold on the next really cold night when you absolutely need to go somewhere, it won't start. It will go into anti theft mode. Murphy's law. Take it back to the place that did the installation. Let them look at it.

Thank you! If you don't mind me asking, did you experience a similar problem in the past? If so, what was the solution?

I have installed remote start systems in caravans. Yours is having an isue between the factory system and the added system.
