You should have came here first , now you should do a compression test to see if the head gasket is blown , that would also give you an idea of the condition of the motor and if putting a bunch of $$ into it is a good idea . Has there been a loss of power and gas milage ? Is there white goop under the oil fill cap ? Is the exhaust whitish ?

When you replaced the water pump and stat, did you purge the air out of the system. You'd be surprised at how much air will remain after this work, and that can lead to overheating. Look online for the purge procedure for your Jeep; there are videos.
