My starter turns but engine won't crank.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 01 Chrysler 300m won't turn over. It was
smoking from radiator but blew no gaskets. Now
after getting it towed to my place  I hear the starter
click but motor will not turn. I got told the motor is
seized up. But I'm lost on what to do. And I don't
want to throw money for a motor unless I really
have to...

You have to be more specific.....If you just hear one solid click from the starter, yes the engine possibly could be siezied, However, if the starter cranks the engine over, but will not start, well then the engine is not seized....
