If the Passkey Fault light or security system light is staying on it's a security system problem. A no crank situation is going to most likely be the ignition lock cylinder. There's two tiny wires inside of the ignition lock cylinder that break over time. When this happens the chip on the ignition key no longer makes contact with the wires and the computer (BCM) shuts down the vehicle because it thinks it's being stolen. When you replace the ignition lock cylinder the new lock will come with a template for cutting new VATS keys. You need to measure the resistance value of the chip on the old ignition key to determine which VATS key blank you need to get. There were 15 possibilities. Compare the resistance value you have to the chart below to determine which key you need. Hope that helps! Jim
