Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I swamped out my alternator and new battery, i drove it for 10 minutes and
the battery light popped up. when i turned off the car it didn't start up
anymore. i took the battery to get charged and get it tested along with my
alternator and it passed the next day i drove around for 5 minutes and the
light came on again so i took it back to get tested and this time they said my
voltage regulator failed again thats why i had swapped it out in the first place,
what can be causing this should i take it in to get it hooked up to a
computer?

What a merry go round! I would definitely get a diagnostic on it. Your talking about parts that don't last long to begin with. Your battery will will last longer than your alternator if that helps. I walk around junk yards just to take the new parts off. I've seen several new alternator in junk.Good luck
