You can check the voltage of your battery. What is the voltage and how old is it? Anything 12.2 v and under and over 5 years old needs replacing.

Switch on your headlights & try to start it. If the headlights stay nice & bright it's the starter. If the headlights get VERY dim or go out it's the battery. HTH. -Jim
