2006 STS Cadillac (New Eng done) Has a no knocking in the rear when
changing gear from Drive to reverse

Tranny problems , accumulator maybe , probably have to come out , should have had it checked while engine was out , perhaps torque converter wasn't filled before installing it with motor .

A fifteen year old Cad with a transmission knock. Congratulations, your Caddy is average. The tranny's just worn out and the bang you hear when shifting into reverse is just the sloppy, loose tranny telling you: Fix Me.
