2010 Jetta EPC dash indicator

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I made a silly mistake today. I was zoning out on my
way to work and drove with my emergency brake
on. The drive included a 5 mile stretch on the
freeway that's when the epc light came on. When I
pulled off the freeway at work, the car was kind of
stuttering. That's when I noticed the brake was
engaged. So I disengaged the brake and took a lap
around the park. Everything seemed fine. Two
questions; 1) how much of a screw up was that? 2)
will the epc light reset on its own, or will it need to
be reset by a technician?

1. Only time within next 100 will tell if it affected anything else. 2. If the computer detected a priblem and problem is no longer there, it'll reset itself, if not just discinnect battery for a minute and it'll clear itself, hopefully it won't come back, if it does, U'll have to have it diagnosed
