Have you had suspension problems?

Question type: General

We have a 2009 Toyota Prius with just over 63,000 miles.
We're about to replace our second set of tires,  first ones went at 33,000 and
now,  the struts are leaking and going bad!    Is this normal?
My mechanic says that my 2010 Subaru Outback Limited with 73,000 miles
has a much better suspension and it appears that the struts on the Subaru are
original and in fine condition.

the manufacturers use the cheapest shocks and tires they can- to save costs- sorry, that's just the way it is-

jamnblues- SO, I have a great question for you? For my Prius, would you think that KYB is a good after market alternative and better than the original equipment.
