2009 Sebring convertible trunk will not close after the top has been closed.

The trunk on the 2009 Sebring convertible will not close after the top has
been closed. The dash cluster shows "convertible top in operation" but power
to the motor has been cutoff. Please assist

So you had the cool automatic top for a while- now it is time to pay the price and take it to a mechanic- the High Price of Being Cool-
