My wife's 2003 MBZ has the phone button, but that feature was not put into the car. I was told most cars prior to 2005 did not have the phone feature in the cars. So check first to see if it is in the car. I was given a quote of $2500+ to put one in. If it is equipped, make sure a 2009 will work on you new phone. Perhaps the bluetooth needs a proper programing to accept it. The car's instruction manual should walk you through the steps, or look on line. IF you car has that possibility
