I have a clunking noice

My car runs good the only thing is that when I make a sharp turn it clunks very
bad or if I stop and then press the gas It clunks into gear

I have a 2013 Chevy Traverse never had much problems at all with it. I drove it today and it shut off with an issue with the battery, I knew right away that it was the alternator. I had it checked out and it is the alternator, I purchased a new one. With the very cold temperature and me being on my way home from the doctor already, I plan on doing this tomorrow morning, my problem is that its parked in a parking lot. Do I need to take the passenger side tire off , and the wheel well as to better be able to get to the alternator and the tension pulley? 2 Answers
