I bought some 285 70 17 for my 2008 jeep wrangler x 4wd. Also purchased 1.5" spacers but I want to use my stock rims and no lift. Will there be any rubbing ?

Yes, I have a '98 XJ with 31's on it, but I believe mine are 65 and my tires rub against the lower control arm. I understand that the Wrangler's are different, but that Jeep is still a unibody frame. The spacers may help, but keep in mind that you will be extending the width of the Jeep in itself, and the turning radius will be sacrificed. I usually don't have problems until I turn my wheels full lock, and then the tires will rub. Hopefully that helps a little bit! Feel free to PM me if you have any further questions.

1. Never use spacers. 2. Yes they will probably rub. My advise is to stay with the factory tire size. Look for a more aggressive tire in your size. Jeep spent thousands of research hours and 10's of thousands of dollars researching the correct tire size for your Jeep. You shouldn't second guess their research.
