Why does Honda recommend replacing lower control arm bolts when reinstalling the arm?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just recently replaced the front lower control arms on my 2008 Honda Accord EX-L v6 and reused the original bolts becaue they look fine.  Why does Honda recommend replacing the bolts as stated in the official repair manual?

They wear together. It's like changing a hub and using the original bearing. You took all that time to take the hub apart, why not just change the bearing? In the respect of the control arms, the bushings and bolts wear together with the arm. It's best to replace the entire assembly than it is just one piece. This way, you won't have extra worn parts and no wear parts having any issues with play against each other.
