how fast is it compare to other sports cars like the mustang gt, porsche, corvette,etc
The Solstice has a 173 HP, inline 4-cylinder engine mated to either a 5 speed manual or automatic transmission. The GXP has a 260 HP 2.0L turbocharged engine with similar trans. options.
I would say you are comparable with other sports cars like the Mustang GT, but not in the class of the Porsche or Corvette -- for example, the LS6 Corvette puts out something like 525 HP and actually beat the Porsche in Car and Driver's recent '08 Model head-to-head review.
It's a nice car but it's more of a roadster than a true muscle/performance machine in that sense. Anything with a 4-cylinder is going to have to work harder to put out the same horsepower as a 6 or 8 cylinder engine, which means lots of high end speed, but not as much low-end torque for taking off from a stop.
