My catalytic converter was glowing red causing it to shake violently due to the rough idling of the engine. I had the converter replaced but to no prevail, the same problems ensued, if not got worse.

Its carbuerared so there are no codes. I was going to try the timing, but wanted to be sure it wasnt the coverter the cause plus i figured that would do the trick.

You can always punch the guys out of the converter... That's what I use to do on older cars... It's just emission, don't du if you live in one of those emissions states... And yes tennis shoes I know its not the correct way to do it but it is a wayXD

start with a tune up plugs wires cap rotor air filter and fuel filter

check 02 sensor and make sure it is wired correctly.

I have a1995 ford mustang GT 5.0. recently I was reving my engine, and just shortly after my car started bucking and hesitating. Almost dieing at a complete stop. If the stop was long enogh it would stop. I have changed the EGR valve, the IAC valve and the fuel regulator. Also I have replaced all of the hoses that go to the upper intake and the upper intake gasket. I just cleaned the MAF sensor with MAF sensor spray cleaner and now the the check enging light is on and it hesitates when I drive. but the rpms are steady as to where before they were all over the band. any Ideas 4 Answers
