Dashboard background lighting doesn't work, neither does my tach, odometer. Help!

I have a 1995 acura integra with no
dash background lights working. The
tachometer and the odometer don't
work as well. Everything else works
perfectly though. The print panel is a
bit warped and wavy. I also have
weird wires running around it and
into the gauge housing as well. Not
sure what to do with those or what
they do. Can provide pics if needed.

It is time for a new cluster. Someone may have had a separate tach in it. Make sure those wires didn't touch and blow a fuse first. They may have touched and wiped out the instrument cluster too.

Somebody rigged indiglo lights into it to the speaker system and they wired it wrong. I cut out the indiglo lighting system out and rewired it and all that doesn't work is the odometer.
