Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just bought a 2007 Ford Focus SES. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I went from a 2003 jeep Cherokee gas guzzaler to this sweet car, what an improvement! The car is in immaculate shape for a 2007 and has 110,000 miles on it.I take very good care of my autos inside and out, maintenance and keeping it spit shined, I cant afford a lot so I take care of the nice things that I get!!!!!!! Why is my drivers side floor board always wet???????? I want to replace the carpet because after I bought it you can tell its been doing this for quite some time by the looks up under the rug, but don't want to replace it until I fix the water problem!!!!!!! Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11Thanks Tina

Does it have a sweet smell like coolant? Or does it smell more like a wet pair of socks? Probably no smell or wet socks smell and if so the drain for your under dash ac unit is stopped up. Look under your vehicle right about where your feet would be if sitting in the car. You should find an open ended hose about the size of your little finger. If nothing is dripping out of it or very little is while ac is running then it's stopped up. Sometimes a coat hanger ran up the hose will get it un stopped. Or some even blow up it with air compressor to free the blockage.

Oh use caution with hanger method. Just ease it up the hose till water starts coming out. Don't want to poke a hole in anything else.

If it has a sunroof take a look at the conors once you open it it has two holes that should be free from debris ,with a wire be carefull and pick in to them both and make sure water runs free.some times easy fix dose it.
