Question type: Maintenance & Repair

A red light came on the way to pick my son up from school as I was driving on the freeway doing 70 MPH the car began to loose acceleration . It dropped down to 60 MPH by the time I reached my exit the car just shut off. I still had all my power locks an lights working just complete engine shut down. The temp. ran high but with no leaks or steam everything looked fine an didn't make any smells. It had to be around five hours latter before I attempted to start my car. It fired right up first try an drove me all the way to my driveway where it shut off again acting the same way as before. The temp ran high as it did before. I had a compression test done on it and the man said it had no compression. Now the car just sits there I have no idea what to do. I was so in love with that car and I want to fix. What in the world could be malfunctioned?

They are great cars. Love mine too. No compression is very bad. I’m afraid your engine might be finished. Not likely worth replacing the engine. Did your mechanic scan for trouble codes? You should be able to find another one easily enough, there are lots of nice ones around still.
