07 kia, my key wont come out of my ignition

My car starts, it drive,s move in gears but I can not take it out unless I disconnect the
battery. It is literally stuck in the car. what could I do or what could it be

the brake switch (what is responsible for your brake lights) is also responsible for letting the control module that it's okay to shift out of park~ have someone shimmy 'round back and check your brakelights...there is probably an adjustment you can make them come on more easily~
