Help need a diagnosis

Asked by Donovan Jun 04, 2011 at 07:20 AM about the 1991 Chevrolet Caprice Classic Sedan RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ok I have a 91' caprice with a 5.7 350
connected to a 700R4 transmission.
It was a state trooper's car so yes its the
interceptor package( just an upgraded can
pistons and valves...
I recently put a refurbished 700R4
transmission in it and now when I turn it on
and put it in any-other gear besides park or
neutral it wants to die...
Any soloutions?

tcc solenoid is either locking up,or:brake light switch defective?,sounds like builder problem/? or you missed connecter/messed it up?see if your brake lights are working, solenoid could be bad too ,in your reman. not a 4L60e?
