Brake lights

My 1990 silverado brake lights do not work,the
bulbs and fuse are good but I don't know how to
find out if it is the brake switch,I've taken it off and
connected the white and green wires together and
the lights still do not come off, I just got this truck
and its my first truck and I really want to fix this

    i just got a 94 chev pickup and all brakes lights don't work! I have checked the fuse which is goo, and the brake switch and that doesn't seem to work, anything else?

    When my lights are off and I hit the brakes my parklights come on with brakelights. Also my brakelights do not work everytime when lights are on. Do u think this would be my brakelight switch?
