I changed the steering wheel column on my 1991 Chevy truck now when I hit my right blinker my left brake light stops working and it won't work again until I click my left blinker

Did new column come from a donor vehicle? Same year or different? If different you may want to compare the two years wiring diagrams and see if difference in pins on harness connectors, assuming you didn't damage any part of harness.
