Why is the air in my truck only blow out of the floor setting? I replaced the Blend Door Actuator and still the same problem?

The air sounds like it wants to come out of the defrost but it just wont. The blend door
actuator replacement didnt solve the problem. What else could it be?

Hey I just went threw this, my HVAC actuator was bad but I had also some sticky linkage that is attached above the actuator, I manually worked it until I had air coming threw each area, my lever for the dash vents were stuck.

Check the position sw .. most are a combination of vacuum and voltage. The "O" rings get hard and it doesn't allow the ports to shift ... I found that after working on a 2002 Grand Prix ... easy fix compared to the actuator
