Engine cuts out when trying to pass a car on the highway

Attempting to pass a car engine completely cut out
like there's a dead cylinder and then picks right
back up again engine idles just fine takes the fuel
just fine until you need to pass someone and put it
to the floor.

97 Chevy 5.7 Vortec engine cuts out when trying to pass but idles fine and has no service engine lights on it only cuts out when you put it to the floor to pass another car.

chevy suburban 5.7liter 4x4 silverado 1991,question i have fuel pressure the jets work i have power to the coil but no spark to the wires.i also have power to the black box on pass. side top of engine i think controls when the spark happens i also replaced the module on backside of distributer, the distributer, the coil,the wires the plugs, bht havent done the cap and roter.is that the only thing that will stop the spark process?ive also checked the oil pressure and water temp sensors 3 Answers
