Transmission no 1st

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

92,000 miles great running vehicle after warm up, no 1st
gear. Have to pull down to first and up shift .  I have
serviced the tranny twice in 30,000 miles.  Can't afford a
tranny job. Any advice
