Jerking when driving

I just a use transmission and steering rack put in
my 2003 Buick lesabre limited,but it was leaking
transmission fluid so I took it to another mechanic
and he says I need a gasket but I can drive the car
over the weekend, because it’s a small leak but as
I was driving my car over the weekend the car
started jerking while I was driving,is the
transmission a bad transmission or is it something
else
