Will the motor from a 1999 Buick century work in a 1997 Buick lesabre?

Well you don't say what the two motors are, but assuming they are similar then yes, they can easily be swapped.

Both should have the series II 3800 v-6 by GM it is a very common motor and easy to swap. As long as it is the same motor it should do.
