I recently changed the crank sensor last week because I thought that what it was but I will check the can sensor tomorrow and I don't have a tool to check the fuel regulator but I will see if someone can check it for me thanks I will let you know how things go

Cam sensor is located just above the crankshaft pulley at about the 10 o'clock position if you're looking straight at it. Easier to change through fender well with wheel off car, belt removed.

Sort of behind the water pump pulley actually, if I recall. I just went out and looked at my car, but it's dark, so I had to feel around and use a flashlight. Lol. Anyway, It's an easier fix than the crank sensor

I have a 2005 ford escape hybrid, it was doing the same thing, cut off but started right back up. No one could figure out why. Well I did, I found the issue myself, now don't have the problem. Don't know if the same problem for everyone, but here what it was. I knew it was electrical, So I start searching, it was the positive battery cable, melted and burnt, ordered the cable from texas, wrong part, so what I did was take the old part, and took the wires from new cable replaced bad cables an wires on old positive cable, and put back on the car, and I have not had the problem anymore, it was burnt melted wiring from positive cable follow the cable if burnt take off replace the wiring.
