2006 chrysler t&c battery went bad, put new one in and now the dvd player says dis error and 3 lights on lift flast to 3 lih=ghts on right no disk in it. can some on help

I am the one that ask for help about. Battery went dead, put new one in and DVD player said disk error and lights on it flashed 1 through 3 then 4 through 6. Back and forth. And no one knew what to do. Well today i got it playing. HERE IS WHAT I DID. I cut the radio on and pushed DVD button then exit button. About four times over and over i went through this of cutting the radio off and back on then dvd button then pushing exit. and the lights went off. then i cut radio on and pushed dvd button on and pushed number 1 light on dvd player and it tuck tape and played. That fixed it or i got lucky. Hope this will work for you. P.S. My 6 disk player was empty, don't know if this will work for one with dvdS in it or not hope so?
