Oil pressure

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a tapping noice on my 07 chevy
avalanche (and a misfire code 307 on the
same cilinder, not sure if related...)
I changed all the spark plugs and wires,
troubleshooter the coil sensor (good),
opened the head cover and flushed the
lifters and push rods with carburetor
cleaner and lubricated again. The push rod
on cilinder 7 is loose but not Brocken.
Put back together and drove; check engine
is home and truck rum smooth but tapping
noice still there, but got a message of "low
oil pressure, turn off engine!" Why is
that???
I'm planning to flush the oil tomorrow and
change oil filter. Any ideas?? I changed the
oil pressure sensor about 2 years ago

Ok you have a problem with #7. Either the lifter collapsed or just out of adjustment. That needs to be taken care of. Hopefully it is not a broken valve spring. This needs to be looked at by someone who knows. Thats why you are getting the po307 code......And spraying carb cleaner inside like that really is not good. You taking down all the oil for lubrication of the valves, & rocker arms.......I do not recommend a flush either. Seems to always cause more problems........On the oil pressure, there is a screen under the oil pressure sending unit that has to come out and get cleaned. This affects how the oil pressure is being read. The screen get clogged, so the oil sending unit reads low oil pressure shutting the engine down.

Broken valve spring or a lifter that is bad and has ruined the cam.
