My car RPM drops while I'm driving. What can be wrong?

I noticed today while driving on the interstate that my RPM would suddenly drop. What
could be the cause of this? I checked my transmission fluid and it's fine.

deoends.. if 1500 rpms at 55mph it is normal shifting. overdrive puts it that way.
