2007 grand prix misfire

Asked by Zachary Apr 11, 2023 at 05:40 PM about the 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2007 pontiac grand prix, the car misfires a little(not
enough to throw a code) on cylinders 3 and 6, it does have
slight misfires on others but mainly these 2. I have already
replace the spark plugs, wires, the coil packs, and the control
module for the coil packs. It has a relatively new air filter as
well, maybe 10k miles on the filter. The car does have 165k
miles on it.

By the codes, misfires are caused by a problem in the EVAP system and faulty downstream O2 sensors. Those are just magnifying the problems you already have in cylinders 3 & 6, which are likely bad plugs, coils, or faulty fuel injectors. Maybe a good tune-up would be a good idea.
