car wont start turns over good what sends power to fuel pump

How do you know there's no power to fuel pump? Check harness connector at pump with DVOM (volt meter) with the key on should have 12 volts, if it does your fuel pump is bad.

New fuel pump took the old fuel pump and connected it to a hot in the ground from the battery old fuel pump came on
