why isn't there a trunk release inside the car?

EVERY vehicle after the 1980's unless it was a handmade kit car has a remote trunk release in the car. Either in the glove box, under the dash, on the left side of the steering wheel in a little hatch, on the left side of the driver's seat, under the steering wheel dash... there should be one. Have you checked the owner's manual? it should tell you exactly where your's is located.
