I’m having the same trouble with my 2007 Dodge Nitro SLT 4wd. Bought it with 125k miles and now it’s at 161k and my a/c had always blown really cold and my heat always hot. A week ago I was on my way to work when my ac started blowing only hot air. I noticed it was working just fine on the way to the gas station and then when I started it up and got on the interstate it just stopped. I’ve noticed the clutch is not engaging at all and that my radiator fan doesn’t turn when up to temp. Coolant temp stays around 215 degrees Fahrenheit. I’ve got plenty of freon.

inside of the cabin on passenger side under glove box their is probe air sensor dealer part #5143149AA cost $17.95 it's a dealer special order this sensor is located under glove box to the left with 2 wires change that sensor and your a/c will work cold i changed it and all my troubles are resolved.I did everything as changing compressor and evac the system and put freon and the a/c system did not work until i was investigating more into the system and found the probe air sensor and changed it and i have cold a/c again

Guru15y6R, you know it's absolutely crazy here I am freaking out because last year my air conditioning was working perfectly fine and I went to go use it for the first time about three weeks ago when it got warm one day and I was on the Beltway and it was blowing out warm air so here I'm thinking with everybody getting laid off Etc because the coronavirus how in the hell am I going to be able to afford to get this fixed especially meaning I just had to get front brakes put on now I need a rear brakes as well needless to say tonight I was looking in the glove box for something and I realize that there were extra napkins I keep that has fallen behind the glove box so is trying to reach back there using a flashlight to see and get them and I couldn't so I took the underneath cloth panel underneath the glove box off and while I was looking under there and getting the tissues and napkins out I seen this one little connector wire harness that was just dangling well since you're not I plugged it in and my air conditioning is as cold as it was last summer! It was something that simple somehow or another I guess from me putting my purse and stuff down there or the dogs being in the car it got pulled loose and it was just a matter of me plugging it in and the AC works perfect! Now had I not found that on my own I would have probably been charged up teens hundreds of dollars because they would have said it was everything but the fact that that little wire harness needed to be plugged in! I'm so happy and I have a lot more money in the bank thanks to trying to get napkins from behind the glove box!

2007 Dodge Nitro 3.7L v6 Yes indeed, how do you get this little probe sensor out without ripping the whole glove box assembly off in anger since they put the thing right behind the bottom of the globe box hinge bar. Oh you can almost pull it out.....wow what a tease!
