i have a 97 lumina 3.1l that i changed the battery and starter. It started and ran fine for 15 minutes then died. I tried to restart and turned over slow but wouldn't start Any ideas?

There is a plug that goes into the alternator. How many volts at that wire with the key in the on position? Not to be confused with the big battery cable with an eyelet at the end of it.
