We have a 99 Chevy Tracker 4x4 Automatic. We have been told several different answers about flat towing.

If the transfer case is in neutral do we have to start the engine and shift the gears to lubricate every 200 miles or so or does the transfer pump lubricate while the wheels are turning.

You need to start the engine and shift the transmission every 200 miles whenever you tow the vehicle with the back wheels on the ground.
