No start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Jetta 3 1.8 it start and cut off immediately. What can be the
problem cause we checked the spark ND fuel their all there.

Being an older, possibly high mileage car, I wonder if the timing belt broke. It would crank real fast because it will now have no compression.
