Dodge over heating issues.

Over heating seems to definitely be a Dodge trend.
I’m writing because I think I may have solved mine.
I replaced the thermostat for the hundredths time,
this time I removed the fail safe, and oriented the
hole upward, so air can escape at the highest point
possible. I also replaced the recovery/fill jug, and I
can tell you that even a new cap was not getting a
good deal on my old jug. I hope this helps

I did two things. Looks like I got it. Number one, I installed another new thermostat, but this time I removed the fail safe and pointed the hole to the 12 o’clock position, so air can escape. However, I don’t think that was the cure. I replaced the coolant return jug. I think the old jug wasn’t allowing the radiator cap to seal correctly. The pressure tester would seal, so I couldn’t find the issue.
