Dodge engines

Asked by Thomas_93 Jun 23, 2016 at 02:47 PM about the 1997 Dodge RAM 1500 Laramie SLT Club Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just got a 1997 dodge 1500 with a blow
engine (360). My dad has a 95 or 96 dodge
b350 van with a 360. I'm wondering if that
engine will hook up to the wiring harness
and everything in my truck or if I should
just go fine an engine out of a truck. The
plus side of using the van engine is its free.

Also I thought about using the vans transmission since it was just rebuild about a year ago. Would there be any problems with it coming out of a 2wd and going into a 4wd?
