I believe there were two 5 speeds used in your year F series trucks - - 5-speed M5OD manual or a 5-speed ZF S5-42 manual. I think your truck has the ZF.

I believe the M50D was for the light duty F-150.

5 speed is a 5 speed but the 5 speed with the granny gear is called at manufacturers 4 speed overdrive
