check engine light is on
i had filled my tank with fuel then after driving fo a while my check engine light came on. I took the car to where i had bought it and told me the light came on because i did not tighten the gas cap enought. Does this make any sence

Yes, if you cap is not tight it will through a code. retighten the cap and the light should go off if not, get the code read (not erased) and go back to them with it.

It will set a code for the evap system. Just leave it alnoe, it will automatically turned off and ereased.

Your gas cap probably says "Tighten past 3 clicks." This is exactly why.

i'am getting a P0496 code on my 2004 trailbalzer , is this the purge valve, and is located under the engine cover ? Thanks.
