High rpms at forty miles an hour and cant drive over 40 miles an hour

The rpms are high only driving 40 miles an hour
can't drive normal speeds at 60 can't drive faster
than 40 miles an hour

Sounds like there is a problem with the transmission. Get it to a transmission shop and have it checked out.
