All idiot lights fading on and off. I thought my headlights were dimming at first; automatic human reaction. They were actually getting brighter. Week and a half later battery went dead. Local mechanic said alternator was running wild, jumping up to 18 volts, ate up battery. New alenator cured it.

Having similiar issues to above, with brand new battery and alternator testing fine. On occassion the service and brake lights come on with flickering seat belt light -- all of which stop if you pull up the parking brake.a single click. I suspect a faulty ignition switch or bad dash control module.
