Having trouble starting

Asked by Christina Dec 19, 2016 at 11:32 AM about the 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I start my car for the fist time in the
day it starts right up. After diving it and I go
to start it up it only starts up for 2 seconds
and then dies. So the next time I try to start
it right before it's getting reading to die on
me I give it the gas and then it's fine.

That is NOT a battery problem. Have it scanned for trouble codes. Also have the fuel pressure checked to make sure the fuel pump is good. Find the problem before you start replacing things.
