Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Between 1500-2500rpms the engine lunges, below that or above that it runs great.  Also happens when I slow down then speed up at roundabouts, or when I go onto the freeway or go uphill.  This problem is getting old really fast.  I love this car & really don't have the income to get another car.

best bet is to put a fuel additive in it, get the best one you can find. or run high test gasoline for a week or it might be the fuel pump, change out the fuel filter 1st. see you on the track, sir. or do everything all at once. Bingo!

Log jnto your facebook then type www.cargurus.com into your address bar. Once the site loads up look in the top right corner where it says, Welcome Robert, my account, log out, search. Click my account then click where it says question activity and it will give you access to all the questions your account has previously typed on. Whether its a question you asked or answered its all there. Mine is set up the same way and I have FB send me emails any time there is activity on here that has to do with my account.

Check the spark plug wires on the back of the engine. In some cases one of the wires come into contact with the upper stem of the oxygen sensor, the sensor getts hot enough to slowly burn through the best of wires which will cause an intermittent under load miss. I had to chase a similar problem on my 2000 GTP. A new set of wires and a plug wire protect-a-boot from DEI part # 010501 solved the problem. Hope this helps.
